After graduating from Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing, I married Dick Cormier in 1974. We had one son, Ryan, in 1980. We were divorced in 1984. I worked at Eatern Maine Medical Center for many years, setting up a new Peritoneal Dialysis Unit, which I stayed with for about 20 years. In 2001 I decided to try to realize a lifelong dream and moved across the pond to England. I worked first in Dorset on the south coast and since 2006 have lived near Derby, on the outskirts of the Peak District. Ryan decided to stay in the US and lives in Augusta, but we get together as often as we can.
